OUR COLLABORATION WITH

WORLD-CLASS SHAPERS

Our innovative manufacturing process and collaboration with world-class California shapers are the cornerstones of our company. We partner with renowned shapers to bring you performance, durable and eco-friendly boards.

Robert August

Robert August is an American surfer and surfboard shaper raised in Seal Beach, California. He is most famous as one of the subjects of Bruce Brown’s 1966 surf documentary The Endless Summer, along with his friend Mike Hynson. August picked up surfing in the 1950s, when the sport’s popularity had just begun to grow. His enthusiasm and his involvement in The Endless Summer influenced the growth of the sport over the following decades. His surfboards are sold under the Robert August Surfboards brand. He continues to travel the world promoting surfing, and in 1994, he was involved in the filming of The Endless Summer II, in which surfers Pat O’Connell and Robert “Wingnut” Weaver retrace the places visited by August and Hynson thirty years earlier.

Shawn Stüssy

Shawn Stüssy makes surfboards and has shaped since 1968. He went out on his own in 1980 with his own mark “STÜSSY” building his boards in Laguna Beach. That then evolved into the clothing brand we all know. He sold his clothing company in 1996 and retired to his home in Hawaii. Shawn has continually shaped through it all and still is in the bay plugging away to this day. Not much else to say about Shawn, he lets his work do his talking; actions are way stronger than words he has always believed.

Kevin Connelly

Kevin is an American Longboard Surfer and shaper. He won the 2001 Noserider Event at Noosa Surf Festival and he won the 2009 Noserider Invitational at the U.S. Open of Surfing at Huntington Beach.
